Viene dal 1978 il primo personal computer della casa inglese Acorn,
e dal 1980 il primo elaboratore prodotto
secondo le specifiche richieste dalla teleradiodiffusione. Da allora la Acorn
Bbc, l'ente di stato britannico ha proceduto
sulla medesima strada, sviluppando personal e home computer
orientati alla didattica.
