Along with the Technical Notes, Apple distributed some source code samples. These are all provided here. Each is archived, some with an executable, some without. To use these, you will need ShrinkIt 3.0 or higher to unpack them, and either the APW or the ORCA development environment (the two are equivalent). APW is no longer available, but ORCA is still, from the Byte Works. Various languages are used, including Pascal, C, and Assembly; some of these programs are written in only one of these languages, some in two, some in all three. They are all 16-bit programs requiring GS/OS System 5 or higher to run.

Note that these link to binaries. Download them rather than viewing them, to avoid confusing your browser.
